Thea Porter: Bohemian Chic

" Whatever else clothes may be about, I believe they must add to the enjoyment of life".
Thea Porter

For nearly two decades , from 1968 Thea Porter created clothes made from lavish fabrics, witch took most of her inspiration from her days spent in Middle East. The splendid  exoticism of her clothes made her internationally famous and gave her army of fans. Also she got series of retail boutiques where her amazing creations were sold to sophisticated, Bohemian society. She used to dress such music and film stars as Pink Floyd, Crystal Gayle, Elizabeth Taylor and Barbara Streisand. She was the key member of a group of British designers such as Ossie Clark, Sandra Rhodes and Jean Muir.

Few weeks ago with my college I visited her exhibition, which is the first one to consider Thea's work in detail. Also with the 70's style big on the trend for this season, it's a great place to get lot's of inspiration and ideas.

It's still on for for few months, so don't miss out on great exhibition.
